Empathy..

Dear frnz,

I would like to share about a realisation that I missed
( It may sound a little pompous if I say that most of my frnz for that matter most of poeple who are passionate about achieving great things miss this until they realise.. :-) )

Some times little ones make us realise those with their tears or anger..like my little sister did ..

She made me realise that I need to have more EMPATHY...in taking decisions for them or guiding them...(ofcourse it was taken other way instead of care and concern that nothing must go wrong for our dear ones..but we are supposed to realise or make some one realise in a gentle manner..)..

coincidentally an email came in group about reasons for failing in relations with dear ones stressed on lack of Empathy ,in a weekly magazine today some one mentioned the same as area of improvement of Farhan akthar whom we all know as a genious and as good human..

Hence all this made me post this so that even my frnz can check with them whether they are also missing empathy... :-)

Thanks.

Respect fear...

People who ever are very brave are so just because they have healthy respect towards fear..they will read, listen and understand all the vulnerable cases of any new thing that they are going to do,including the worst/dangerous situations that could happen .They will find solutions for all of them, psychologically fix their mind to deal in all such situations and even with tough people. Then obviously they will become brave as there will be no such new or strange situations left for them which they can not deal. One who rules out such analysis by saying that it is negative thinking or pessimism,  will be soon in troubles.

Anni konala visleshana leni dairyam oka moorkatvam--Swami Vivekananda.

Fear is the father of courage and the mother of safety--Henry H. Tweedy

Fear is the highest fence--Dudley Nichols

"A good scare is worth more than good advice"-- Edgar Watson Howe

To take as an example, all top companys which are founded and lead by great leaders, highly skilled and educateds do have healthy fear  and they call it "risk analysis" for which there will be a separate wing of highly paid professionals . As you must be aware, the cases they imagine before starting any project would be like..what if all bad resources join? what if we fail to deliver?what if all the thnings collapse? etc etc..and we are appreciating it ... we are supposed to do such analysis in our life aswell.

Once we are aware of all probable cases and are ready to avoid and to get rid of them, we will be having "true courage" which is a primary quality of an achiever.

Courage is not the lack of fear but the ability to face it-- Lt. John B. Putnam Jr.

Anni purana grandhala saramsanni 3 vakyallo cheppotchu
1. Dairyam ga undu 2.Dairyam ga undu 3.Dairyam ga undu--Swami Vivekananda

Be brave by working out on all the cases of fear.

Salute ...

My salute to all those who did lot of sacrifices to bring independence to us and to soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect it.

Feeling proud to say that I am an Indian.

Still a long way to go to see India as self sustained with out poverty, corruption, hunger deaths, illeteracy, child labour etc.

Let us all take an oath that we will contribute to the extent possible in making that dream come true soon!

Qualities needed to become succesful entrepreneurs.....

Nice article(got from a training session)!putting here for my little dear ones who are of same wavelength as me and are in dreams of becoming entrepreneurs..

Integrity

Someone once said, “Right is right even if no one is doing it, and wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it”. We all hear the news stories about corporate greed and corruption. However, the truth is, successful entrepreneurs and millionaires rated “being honest with everyone” the number one factor of their success.

Self-discipline

To become a successful entrepreneur you have to be highly disciplined. If you are trying to build a business from the ground up, a lot of times you’ll be faced with doing all the job functions of a company, such as accounting, marketing, web design, and customer service. You have to develop the ability to get things done, even when you don’t feel like it. Luckily, you can learn self-discipline with the right information and conscious effort.

People management skills

Another critical factor among successful entrepreneurs is having good people management skills. You should make an effort to genuinely like, respect, and appreciate other people. The ability to manage and make them not only work but making them to give 100% of what they can will carry you far in all walks of life, especially your own business.

Supportive relation

Don’t worry that you are alone. I’m not suggesting that you get married before becoming an entrepreneur. That is already a proven barrier. But you should know that having a supportive relation is another big success factor for entrepreneurs. Many times as a business owner, you’ll face tough times , downfalls and risky decisions.

Your brother or sister or some one whom you can really trust may be of amazing support to you. One would make enough business mistakes over a course of time. Having a trusted relation that truly believes in your goals, dreams and abilities is priceless.

Strong and Ethic

There’s no substitute for hard work when it comes to becoming a successful entrepreneur. Most people want to do the fastest and easiest solution when it comes to work. If you want to be a success, dedicate yourself to persistent, productive, old fashioned hard work.

Passion

It almost goes without saying that in order to become a successful entrepreneur, you need to be passionate about your business. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to build a business around something you love. You can (and should) identify a profitable market and then build your business.

Ed dale talked about this in the 30 Day Challenge when he brought up the niche market of trout fishing. He pursued it because of its profit potential. He admits that he didn’t know anything about trout fishing prior to starting a website about it. He became passionate about his niche and learned all he could. Now it’s one of his most profitable businesses.

Loving your business will also make it easier to get through the start-up phase, and other future obstacles.

Strong leadership qualities

Being able to communicate effectively, motivate others, sell your ideas, and be decisive, are just a few of the qualities of a good leader. In order to become a successful entrepreneur you must dedicate yourself to improving your leadership skills and abilities.

Competitiveness

Competition is everywhere. In business, it’s the survival of the fittest. If you can out-market and outperform your competitors, your chance of being a successful entrepreneur will be much greater. Play to win, but never sacrifice your integrity for the sake of a few bucks.

Well-organized

Most struggle with this one . But one should try to improve organizational skills. One of the main reasons small businesses fail is a lack of organization. If you too are unorganized, don’t worry too much. Everyone can learn organization skills with enough hard work, practice, and persistence.

Sales ability

The ability to convince others to make a conscious buying decision is a key becoming a successful entrepreneur. Sales guru Zig Ziglar says, “People don’t buy for logical reasons. They buy for emotional reasons”. Being able to appeal to other people’s emotions is the key to selling your ideas, products, or services.

Two characteristics and qualities of millionaire entrepreneurs that had the least impact on their success

Here are a couple of surprising factors that ranked among the lowest in regards to, the success of entrepreneurs.

1.Luck

Some people look at those with money, fame, or a successful business and say “they were just lucky” or “they were in the right place at the right time”. The truth is, most self-made millionaires and successful entrepreneurs don’t depend on the lottery, gambling, or other people to make them a success.

People see actors and musicians who suddenly become the next big thing and say, “wow they were lucky to be such an overnight success”. When in actuality, most actors and musicians work diligently for years in order to achieve such fame.

There’s a good quote that says, “The harder I work the luckier I get”. I also like the quote “Luck is when preparation meets opportunity”. Don’t make the mistake of believing that luck determines how successful an entrepreneur you can be.

2.Education

Another surprise revealed in this survey was that education (including the choices “attending a top rated school” and “graduating at/near the top of my class”) was ranked near the bottom as a factor of success. The lack of a formal degree should not keep you from pursuing your own business.

This doesn’t mean you won’t have to learn. On the contrary, successful entrepreneurs and millionaires are good at gathering the knowledge they need in order to apply it to their business. The average millionaire reads one non-fiction book per month. Education is important in life, but getting bad grades in high school is not going to keep you from becoming a successful entrepreneur.

To wrap things up

As you can see, the most significant factors that will determine your success as an entrepreneur deal with how well you deal with other people and your own personal behaviors. Our society tells us that we have to get good grades, to get into a good college, to get a good “secure” job. Instead of teaching us to innovate, think creatively, and dream big, we’re taught to fear failure, wait until age 70 to retire, and to depend on the government for our needs . I hope you won’t fall into the same pattern of thinking.

Instead, I hope you’ll take this bit of wisdom on your journey to become a successful entrepreneur.“Whatever you mind can conceive, you can achieve”

Mahesh , Rana , Ram and Sidharth about Pawan

Hi..Just sharing tweets of stars about Pawan...

Mahesh said ...

“(I) heard the audio of Puli is out. Want to wish the entire time of Puli all the best. (I) hope it rocks. Someone mentioned that Pawan spoke really well at the audio function. I wasn’t surprised. He’s someone who I’m really fond of.”
“ We met just a couple of times, but I’ll always remember how he supported me during the piracy issue of my film Arjun. He was one of the first few who stood by me and I will always wish him well. Good luck Pawan, I’m sure you will rock as always.”

Rana said " Just saw promos of Puli online!! Film looks power packed!! Pawan Kalyan has an aura that captivates most audiences, he is beyond his films.

He was one of the few in the film industry who told to me that “Leader” was a right choice, even before I started shooting for the film.

Haven’t heard the audio yet. Couldn’t get my hands on a copy in Mumbai. Will get a copy soon

Three tweets about”Puli” and over a hundred responses. That’s the Power of the Power Star!! Go PK!!"

Ram said that he is now getting a new meaning for word "hype" after seeing Puli's fever all arround and added that people calling him "power star" is because of this ( he said this as Pawan said that he feels shy and guilty if some one calls him powerstar and felt that he does not deserve it )...

Sidharth said that he heard the audio of Puli 4 times back to back and explained how and what he liked about each and  every song..

Swine Flu (H1N1) ..ofcourse stronger..but certainly not than our "will"

,These days we are reading in news papers that swine flu cases are increased... true and obvious because temperatures are very low now as the season changed...

Yes ofcourse it is stronger than other flus but certainly not stronger than human's knowledge and "will" to fight against it..I am not advising you to neglect it or to be care less...all I am saying is not to panic by seeing news papers and news channels who exaggerate everything for their TRP...

99% of the deaths reported due to Swine flu are of  people who are very old/kids/chindren/ pregnants/diseased/ of people who already have chest diseases etc..As you all are aware, all these categories are people will be less resistant and highly vulnerable to diseases/viruses and more over Vaccines are available now.So, no need to worry at all.

By this time you might have already got awareness about symptoms of swine flu, precautionary measures to be taken etc through news or internet etc...Please find the list of authorised hospitals one should be visiting if in case of symptoms of H1N1..remember we should be going to hospitals which are certified to treat Swine flu other wise it will result in nothing but delay which could become dangerous..

Saina Nehval..Inspiration for many

Update:-
(7-7-10)

Congrats, Saina..She proved again that its all about "Attitude"...she concentrated on things needed keeping low profile unlike other sports stars who just got carried away by functions, parties and publicity...Congrats once again to future "Khel Ratna"

(5-2-10)
Congratulations , Saina ! for winning "Arjuna ".

(1-7-09)

Saina Nehval who won Indonesian open recently is a true inspiration for all of us. Her commitment , hardwork and planning are good.I admire her attitude and the way she works by putting her self short term targets. I used "Approach" and "Attitude" beacause...unlike other sport stars from India she didnt' get carried away by media pubilicy, parties, ads etc ......to say it simple , she didn't get carried away by her "Celebrity status" :-) . She remained the same Saina before and even after success and publicity. She had shown same concentration level always. To mention as an example even before completing 24hours after coming to India after a huge success....she went to practice n not even attended a single party.... I appreciate it.
I wish that ...getting inspiration from her more such good players come and make us feel proud....

We all must be proud that a girl from our country won such a title...Let us congratulate her and wish her more success...all the best Saina...

Satyavratham

I am trying to start a satyavratham from today :-)

even from child hood , I never told lies to cheat or deceive any one but was lying few times to manage some people, maintain some , to make some happy, not to hurt some and frankly to keep up self some times but now decided to avoid those "harmless lies" also...

But like in some stories like satya harischandra or some movies , I am not here to invite troubles or problems by this. I have some exceptions like the cases I have mentioned earlier and in some other cases where the truth can hurt others, I will try to find some ways of avoiding it or keeping sillent :-).

All that I am trying is to avoid unnecessary lies and become brave enough by speaking truth always. I dont know how far I will be successful in this ...wish me all the best.. :-)

Thanks.

Gopi Gandi.

Homeopathy gives little relief just because of belief...a pseudoscience

Recently it happened to watch some discussions on "homeopathy" . It made me read some on it in internet...I am "trying" :-) to put it as simple as and as non technical as possible ..

Homeopathy is not science but is more like a pseudoscience. Homeopathy gives no medicines but nothing more than " Sugar " and "water". The concepts of "water remembers" ( Homeopathy believes that water has memory power lol :-) ). Using words like "circussions ", "consussions","energy creation" etc they build castles in air.

Homeopathy was proposed 20 years before Louis Pasteur invented that viruses cause diseases and before molecular theory was developed . Father of homeopathy, Hahnemann himself is allopathy doctor. He just suggested that he feels creating symptoms may cure some diseases but never said it in confirm or showed proofs as science was not yet developed by then.

Instead of using more technical words like Moles , molecules etc ...I will try to explain the funda of homeopathy in simple manner

First  find something that causes problems similar to what you want to cure. So you take the medicine and put one drop in a vial with 100 drops of water. You then shake that up for so many specific shakes. You then take one drop of that solution and mix it will 100 more drops of water. Shake. One drop of that solution with 100 drops of water. Shake.
Repeat for at least 8 more times, which means that you now have a solution that is 1 drop of the medicine to 10,000,000,000,000,000 drops of water. 1 drop the medicine to 10 quadrillion drops of water. Needless to say that drinking one glass of water from this “Solution” is effectively drinking water. The chance that even one molecule of venom is in there is so small it is effectively nonexistent.

Homeopathy thinks and believes that by mixing the some medicine in the water the first time you then made all the water have a “Memory” of that medicine.

I am neither with the group who think that English medicine is the only medicine saying that it is "proven" ...I also believe that many other natural ways of medicine exists like "Ayurvedha"and just that world has to explore them yet  ..

You might have heard of "Placebo effect " ..it is nothing but the name of psychological curing of diseases by making patients believe that he/she has been given a good medicine by good doctor.  In such experiments 70% of small diseases and pains got cured due to the strong belief that they were given medicine.

"Relief " that is being felt by many poeple for small pains and diseases after using homeopathy are due to this "placebo effect only".

Some sentences used by homeo doctors itself will give you an understanding

"We have a separate philosophy that giving concussions to water will create a energy "

"Water has memory power"

" Recreating symptoms of the disease(artificially) from which the person is suffering ..will lead to curing of that disease"

" We agree that there is no matter* in our medicines ( so called :-) ) but they can still cure because of energy ( which can be seen and created by only homeopathy doctors) "

*Matter here means "any substance" and substance in this context is medicine..they agree that their sugar balls( of course they call them medicines :-) ) have no matter ( as they dilute it to 10 crore times..it is equal to not having any thing in it but sugar and some water) but they have energy packed in them which will cure the disease.

Many developed countries like Britain , USA and many Europeon countries are in the process of banning homeopathy . After recent studies and results with statistics, 2 principals of Homeopathy colleges came out and said that it is all trash...

Funny thing is that they advertise it as "medicine with no side effects"..when there is no "matter" itself in it and  when it has no "effect at all "( as sugar water or ball cant show any effect) ..where is the scope of "side effect" :-)

Thanks.

Gopi Gandi.
