Afforestt a nice business concept of creating natural and maintenance free forests

Heard about this company from a friend and really impressed with their business idea.

A very good concept of creating natural and maintenance free forests that too with native plants ( a non-native plantation will not sustain ).

Skill gap..one of the major problems for Indian youth

Today's article in eenadu revealed surprising facts...that 97% of engineers in India can not speak in English fluently , 51% do not have any basic grammatical knowledge etc.

Skill Gap is one of the major reasons for unemployment and problem/hurdle for growth .

World day against Child labour

In the context of World day against Child labour day today ( June 12), some numbers which should concern us.

World has arround 150 million children as labour ( defined as aged between 5-14 ), and India is the home to highest number of working children ( arround 28 million -estimated by surveys, of course Govt records deny this and show less ).

Another worry for me is that good share of them are in hazardous jobs like bidi , leather industries , coal mines etc where they are exposed to gases and unhygienic atmosphere leading to health issues for them.

India ( for that matter , any country ) can not become developed by growing its GDP by having high child labour % . They would be leading life of less quality in all regards and not having education or exposure can lead them to wrong side like crime easily.

The work being done by Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA), an NGO headed by 2014 Nobel Peace laureate Kailash Satyarthi  , is really commendable in this regard.

Movies I recently watched- my reviews )

Missed my reviews ;) ?

I am putting them in short

Bombay Velvet : Dud. Hero character lo ye angle lonu hero kanapadadu. Intellect gani planning gani leni oka foolish characterization. Heroine is a waste character. Pre-release looks , plot and reviews vini mosapoyi vella ;)

Utthama Villain : Parledu bagane undhi. Kamal hassan ke yedo disease undi aa cinema theesademo ane feeling vachindhi

S/o Satyamurthy : Hero feel avuthu untadu kani manam feel avvam ( on a lighter side, allu arjun antha pedda matalu chepthunte nenaithe aa feel loki vellaleka poya ). Various factors of good planning by experienced people like Allu arvind behind brought some collections - like Trivikram is reason for overseas collections , Upendra for Karnataka collections etc

Movie just misses a logic that " You can not control what people think ".

Women's day celebrations , are we doing enough except celebrations

  • Literacy rate of Indian women is 65% against 83% of men.
  • School dropout rate amongst adolescent girls in India is as high as 63.5% (Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation - MoSPI, 2012)
  • Nearly 45% girls In India get married before the age of eighteen years (National Family Health Survey III - NFHS).
  •  Lack of sanitary protection causes 23% of girls to drop out of school
  •  56% adolescent girls (15-19 years) in India are anaemic, as against 30% adolescent boys (National Family Health Survey III - NFHS)
  • 50 to 60% of girl children do not go beyond their primary schooling
And all the angels that come from heaven don't land to earth as female feoticide is
still high in India.

In Female development index ( given considering all factors like education, discrimination , growth chances , safety etc ), India is behind Srilanka and Burma.

Govt should answer when can we really celebrate!

Swach Bharath , a good feeling but with out investment ?

Swach Bharath is definitely a good feeling and will come of good use in creating increased awareness among us for having all our premises clean .

But with out putting good investment in placing large dustbins for every kilometer at-least . Now all the municipal corporations starting from small ones like Warangal to mid size like Vijayawada and cosmopolitan like Hyderabad to metropolitan like Mumbai suffer from lack of enough staff , infrastructure . With out investing on having it concretely cleaned , dustbins placed, staff deployed- if you come and visit the same place again which is cleaned by some students, volunteers etc , after a month , it will again be like old gandha jaga ! Isn't it ?

Govt should start investing more on giving complete subsidies for toilets , giving more funds to pachayats and municipalities for infrastructure.

Dhanush , multi-talented , my respect for him increased

In the context of Raghuvaran Btech getting good response , I would like to express my admiration for  great judgement of scripts of Dhanush . He never does ( at least after he got some market , reception and recognition ) or selected bad scripts or script which does not suit him. All the movies he does are enough novel besides making sure that they cater to major sections like students .

RaanJhanaa movie proves how practical he thinks and his sound judgement skills of scripts and what is right for his stature, physic , language ability etc  . When ever he gives interviews, he sounds honest and genuine. I admire that quality in him a lot.

Even when Kolaveri Di got crores of views , I remember he speaking about it only to needed extent not at all pompous indirectly acknowledging that it is not a thing to be greatly adored.I see no vanity in him .

Wish you all the best , Dhanush

Gopala Gopala and Taken 3

Watched Gopala Gopala yesterday in Imax large screen and Taken 3 today.

Gopala Gopala , one time watch . Poor CG work ( not sure whether its due to general mingy way of spending of the production house on technical values  or whether its due to rush to release for sankranthi) . Only difference is that extended guest appearance of Pawan kalyan would fetch double the money of what generally such film would collect.

Disappointed with Taken3..Not as good as its previous parts..unconvincing super man..sorry 'super old man' kind of taking.. :)
