Visited Bidar ( in Karnataka)...

On 9th May along with some friends visited Bidar(in Karnataka --135km from Hyderabad), a place of much historical significance. Though we could not cover all tourist spots there ,we covered all places of interest like...

Cave temple of Narasimha to visit which we have to go through a cave of 100m long which has canal with depth of 1.5m flowing through it ,Bidar fort which was constructed in 8th century and is said to be one of the most defended forts in India with many layers of protection arround it. I liked the concept of "Kandakam" ( I don't know what  it is called in English)...a big canal dug around the fort filled with water to stop the enemy forces from coming into the fort .I heard from some one that emperors also used to grow crocodiles in it so that no forces can cross it, museum and  finally famous and big gurunaanak temple ..

Thanks

Gopi Gandi.
